Course content


Educators will learn how the most prevalent Latin and Greek word-parts can help students improve their spelling, vocabulary, and reading comprehension skills. This is multisensory course that will equip educators to use hands-on tools to build and decode words by using roots, prefixes, and suffixes.

What will educators be able to do after completing this course?


After participating in this structured literacy course, educators will have a thorough understanding of the morphological structure of English and be able to show students how to use roots, prefixes, and suffixes to enrich their vocabularies and decode complex words. Educators will be able to show students how to apply their decoding skills to reading comprehension.

What resources need to be purchased for the course?
