I was looking for a reading program for my 1st grader and was referred to ScholarSkills by a friend. Words cannot explain how pleased I am with her progress in reading

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Positive: Communication, Professionalism, Quality, Value
ScholarSkills is an amazing program. I have been using during the pandemic to help my child learn to read and his knowledge has exponentially increased. He is putting together sounds to make word, words to make sentences and he is seeing the world through new learning lenses. What I like most is the simplicity of use. My son can turn on his iPad and get his cards and learn. We do it on the go in the car or he can take it to his grandparent’s home. They are short lessons, but power packed. Pastor Brian is phenomenal. The first lesson he did via zoom and took time to help orient me and my son to the lesson plans and did the first lesson with him. So now he thinks Pastor Brian is teaching each lesson with him. Pastor Brian checks on all the time and always updates with new teaching techniques and ways to keep learning fun. Pastor Brian is always accessible via phone or text or email.   Overall, I highly recommend the learning program. You can tell a lot of thought was put in to achieving the highest level of success for your child and you won’t be disappointed. Thank you for you all do to help put the next generation on the path for success through developing a love to read and learn.

Maliah is 11 years old; we began working with Scholar Skills when she was just 7 years old in the summer program. When Mr. Brian Vieira began working with Maliah, she could not identify many words. In just three short months Maliah began to build her vocabulary with the help of the Scholar Skills summer reading program. Unfortunately, after the summer program ended and despite Mr. Vieira’s offer into Scholar Skills after school program Maliah stopped attending the program because travel was a big hardship for me. Then something great came out of what we felt was a horrible time. During Covid Mr. Vieira reached out to me to inform me Scholar Skills has gone remote. I was so happy because Maliah still needed help with reading.  Maliah resumed tutoring when she was 8 years old and during that time, she could not read a complete sentence. Mr. Vieira worked with Maliah twice a week and I saw a complete difference in Maliah’s reading, she was able to read a sentence without help from me and her confidence was boosted as well. As we continued to work together, I decided to have Maliah privately evaluated and I learned she had dyslexia. I was devastated because I did not know how to approach this. I spoke to Mr. Vieira about it, and he immediately asked to see Maliah’s evaluation, he gave me advice on what services I should request from Maliah’s school and more importantly he ensured me his working relationship would not end with Maliah. He tailored Maliah’s tutoring sessions using different techniques for children with Dyslexia. Since then, Maliah has made tremendous progress and has soared in her school, even getting the reward for the child with the most perseverance.  In addition to tutoring at Scholar Skills Maliah received services while in school, however, everything Maliah was taught she had already learned with Mr. Vieira. Having a diagnosis of Dyslexia is not an easy road but with the tools and confidence Mr. Vieira has instilled in Maliah I know there is no limit to how far she will go.

Warm Regards,
